Author Reece Brett's Bio

According to her sister, Reece Brett began writing “as soon as she could hold a crayon in her hand.” Reece’s original stories were about horses, but even those focused on characters. The interactions between friends, lovers, and that one great love has always fascinated her.

Lyrical Press Inc will release her sizzling summer read, If You Dare, June 6, 2011. In 2008, Black Lyon Publishing published her romantic suspense, Stranger To Love. Under the name, Judi Brett, she published the children’s series, Adventures of Buck the Buckle-Up Dog.

To connect to her audience, Reece hosts Reece Writes, a half hour radio show the first Monday of each month on WSNJ.com. The programs shares the challenges of writing. Listeners may call 856-765-1240 to ask questions or comment. A list of topics and guests are posted on her blog.

The first Wednesday of each month, she hosts Reece Reads in which she reviews books, chats with authors and talks with reading groups. Listeners may call in to ask questions or comment. A list of the books being reviewed is listed on her blog.

She and her romantic hero live in South Jersey. Together they have shared the joys and excitement of a blended family of six children. Her family now includes three sons-in law and grand children. Life in a “yours, mine and ours” family is chaotic, noisy, rewarding, entertaining and never dull. Reece confirms her greatest blessing is “My family. Each child is a favorite—for that hour.”

To escape their children and their hectic life, Reece and her husband kayak the rivers and lakes of southern Jersey. Many of her favorite places include water.

Her children claim Reece can sniff out a bookstore within 500 miles. Her favorite is Bogart’s Book store. A rapidly expanding Writing Community at the Glasstown Arts District gathers at Bogart’s. An avid reader, Reece belongs to two book clubs. As a child she climbed to the top of apple trees, stretched out on a limb to read undisturbed. Today, she carries a Kindle to catch every moment to read.

“I love writing. I love the swirl and swing of words as they tangle with human emotion.” James Michner
