Reece is currently working on a series surrounding Lakeside, New Jersey, a fictional city in New Jersey. The focal point is a book shoppe. Books draw people together and create interesting interactions. Each book focuses on a romantic relationship but also has an underlying concept to ponder.
Caroline, the character in the first book, discovers she has inherited a house—the house she was born in. Caroline knew she had been adopted, but the circumstances were never revealed. She flies from Seattle to New Jersey to see her inheritance delve into the unknown—her past. Discovering her roots leads to self-discovery.
